Dear Parents / Guardian,

                                                Greetings from St. Augustine’s School, Kalimpong.                                      

 Though many have predicted that the end of the world is at doorway; the inner peace and spiritual strength will lead us on. The knowledge will light our path. Peace and harmony is what we all look for and greatly desire. Collaborative living builds the ideal society. We need to bring up our children through good parenting and mature dealing.  

At the threshold of the implementation of ROPA 2009; we at SAS have experienced your cooperation. On behalf of all at SAS I would like to appreciate your support and understanding. Thank you also for attending the meeting to decide upon the Fee Structure for the year 2010. As decided along with you, the Fee Structure for the year 2010 will be as follows:

The payment is to be made from the 1^st of April 2010 using the Fee Book supplied by the school only. You are further requested to make all the payment in the account section and collect a receipt for the same and retain it as well for any clarification in due course of time.  

The feedback on ASSET ((Assessment of Scholastic Skills through Educational Testing) concerning your ward will be given to you on Saturday, February 20, 2010. You are kindly requested to attend the same.

 I will be available to you between 1:00 p.m. and 3:00 p.m. on every working day concerning the school matters. You are kindly requested to keep to the timing or make an appointment if necessary.  

I would like to bring to your kind notice some of the important regulations of the school and abide by it:

1. Abuse of drugs in any form will result in expulsion of the guilty candidate.

2. Students are not allowed to bring to the school any sort of electronic gadgets especially the cellular phones. Confiscated sets will be returned only against a fine of Rs. 1000.

3. Students must attend the classes on the last day before the vacations and the first day after the vacation. Strict action will taken against those who remain absent without prior permission from the Principal, on those days.

4. All events; like Sports Day, School Day, Games, events are the co-curricular activities of the school. The students must attend these events as it is the part of their formation. You are requested to insist upon attending these events by your son/ward. Remaining absent for these events will be dealt sternly with and a strict action will be taken against.

5. If a student is found missing in the class after attending the first period or if he is not found at proper place during particular period, at any time of the day, will be warned first and incur suspension if repeated. This may be a sign that the pupil is already in the wrong company of friends. 

6. The School Monogram (lamp with abbreviation of the school) on the shirt pocket of the school uniform will be accepted from the academic year 2010. As it is initiated from the year 2010, the instructions have been given only to Laximi Stores, Main Road, Kalimpong; to maintain the uniformity of the production.

7. Those students of class V (ONLY CLASS 5), who are not taking Nepali as their 2^nd Language, may take Nepali as their 3^rd language from the academic year 2010. The other two options for 3^rd Language is Bengali and Hindi.
