twelve wonderful years ( '84-'97) at St
Augustine's was an integral part of
growing up that helped shape my
personality and intellect.
I sometimes remember playing traunt from
classes and spending time atop the huge
rock cliff ( the access of which, though
fenced , was never a problem for our
intrepid cabal to scale )near the
football ground(s) ; watching clear blue
skies afloat with intermittant flaky
clouds painting the green landscape, the
serpentine, emerald Teesta coiling
siniously across valleys and gorges....
vivid images that never fails to please
the inner eye, as a poet mentions.
I hope current students do not
deligently emulate this memory !
